What is Referoo

Your recruiter or hiring manager is using Referoo, an online platform that helps organisations complete employment verification checks digitally.
You have received an invitation to access your secure Referoo dashboard, where you can provide information, nominate referees, and complete any required background checks.
If you nominate referees, Referoo will contact them by email or SMS so they can securely complete their reference online.
How Referoo Works
Creating you in the platform
Your recruiter will add your full name, email and phone number into their company’s Referoo account.
They will also select the types of checks they would like you to complete, such as:
- Reference Check
- Police Check
- Right to Work Check
Once your details are entered in Referoo, you will automatically receive an email and/or SMS invitation to complete the required checks by filling out an online form.
Completing your Checks
After you follow the link in the email or SMS message, you will be taken to your Candidate Dashboard, where you can manage and track your checks.
For a Reference Check, you will be asked to provide your referee’s details, including:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Your relationship with the referee
Once submitted, each referee will be contacted by email and/or SMS and will have the option to accept or decline the reference request.
If they accept, they will be taken to an online Referoo page to complete the reference questionnaire.
Additional Background Checks
Besides a Reference Check, you may also be asked to complete other background checks.
Use the links from your Candidate Dashboard to access the secure pages where you can provide the required information for each check.
Referees filling out your reference
When a referee accepts your request, they will be taken to an online form where they can:
- Review the contact and relationship details you provided
- Complete the recruiter’s reference questionnaire
- Submit their responses online
Once submitted, they will see a confirmation screen and can close the Referoo page.
